Steel Pan Ministry
Music has the ability to bridge gaps and bring people together in powerful ways. That's why we at Grace-Hanson United Methodist Church are proud to offer our Steel Pan Ministry. Regardless of your background or skill level, we invite you to come and participate in this beautiful and uplifting form of music. Our ministry is focused on bringing people together in community, and we strive to create an atmosphere of love and support for all who join us.
Showers of Blessings
We strive to provide more than just a hot shower for people in need, we provide comfort and community. Our team of volunteers greets visitors with a warm smile, a cup of coffee, and a bagel, creating an environment of welcome and kindness. Alongside the showers, we also offer clean clothing and hygiene products. We are passionate about breaking down barriers and ensuring that everyone in our community feels included and cared for.
The Prayer Line
Our nightly Bible study call at 7pm allows us to stay connected and delve into the Scriptures, share our insights, and build relationships with each other. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can encounter the love and grace of God.
United Women in Faith
Our chapter are women like you, a powerful, fearless force driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood. With a focus on women, children and youth, we act for justice and transform communities. Join us, because love in action can change the world.
Free Store
Our free store is a welcoming space where individuals and families can come together to find essential items at no charge. We offer a variety of necessities, from clothing to household goods, ensuring that everyone has access to what they need to thrive. In partnership with the Open Hearts Intiative organization, the Free Store is open on the third Saturday at 1pm. Join us in fostering a sense of community and generosity as we help each other in times need.
Soul Care Wednesdays
Soul Care Wednesday is a nurturing ministry led by our dedicated pastor, designed to provide spiritual support and guidance. Each session offers a safe space for individuals to connect, reflect, and grow in their faith. Through prayer, discussion, and fellowship, we aim uplift and empower each participant on their spiritual journey Join us as we explore the depth of God's love and find healing together every Wednesday.
Men's Ministry
Every 5th Sunday, we lead the service and inspire others to become more active in their communities. Our aim is to empower men to make a positive impact on the world around them.
Bread Movement
Our program is dedicated to providing food assistance to those in need. By collecting non-perishable food items, we ensure that we have a wide range of products available to help fight food insecurity. We donate to CHiPs to distribute the donations and we also keep food available at the church for people who come by in need. We believe that everyone should have access to nutritious and healthy food, and we are committed to making that a reality.
Kidz Korner
We understand that children need to feel loved, valued, and heard. That’s why every 2nd and 4th Sunday, we dedicate our service to our children. We strive to create an environment where our kids feel safe to ask questions, express their feelings, and connect with other children in their community.
